| Cryo-preservation

 Born of the need to broaden the diffusion of animal semen, cryo-preservation (-196ºC) has grown tremendously in acceptance ever since. It allows easy access and retrieval of genetic material to meet the needs of the breeder.
Early on, IMV Technologies developed products and materials destined to streamline both the production and the diffusion of semen. Semen media specific to each species is developed and produced by our laboratories. Each semen media perfectly matches the requirements of the greatest number of cryo-preservation techniques and can be retrofitted to a small farm or a large semen production facility. After having equipped numerous laboratories with fixed equipment we also noticed the need for exchange and transportation of smaller cryogenically preserved samples. Today we offer “Gyrotainer” as a unique packaging system adapted to ship cryogenically preserved biological samples.
